Pre-Operation Sedation Instructions

1. A light meal may be eaten no later than 4 hours prior to your appointment.
2. It is okay to have small amounts of clear liquids.
3. No caffeine the day of appointment, (coffee, tea, sodas etc.).
4. Wear short-sleeved, loose-fitting clothing.
5. Medication normally taken should be taken unless instructed otherwise. A light meal may be taken with medication if necessary.
6. No aspirin or aspirin containing products 10 days prior to your appointment, unless other arrangements have been made.
7. No ibuprofen or ibuprofen containing products the day before and the day of surgery.
8. If you live out of town, bring any prescribed medication with you.
9. Ladies, please avoid any facial make-up and nail polish.
10. You must have an adult to drive you home after the procedure.
11. Do not plan to operate machinery for 24 hours after the appointment.
12. Do not take a bus or taxi.
